Sony Electronics Inc. has unveiled its 2024 BRAVIA TV lineup, emphasizing enhancements aimed at elevating the home cinema experience. The lineup introduces four new models, with the BRAVIA 9 as the flagship. This model showcases significant improvements in brightness and contrast, asserting a peak brightness up to 50% higher than its 2023 predecessor, the X95L model, and around 325% more dimming zones. The BRAVIA 9 also features innovative sound technologies like Acoustic Multi-Audio+ and Voice Zoom 3.
The 2024 range also includes the BRAVIA 8 OLED and the BRAVIA 7 Mini LED, each equipped with Sony’s proprietary technologies that optimize scene-by-scene brightness and power consumption. Sony’s BRAVIA 3 LED rounds out the new entries, offering a more standard LED option. Accompanying the TVs, Sony introduces the BRAVIA Theater home audio lineup, designed for seamless integration with the televisions to enhance the overall audiovisual home experience.
In addition to technological advances, Sony has increased the use of recycled materials in these models, notably employing SORPLAS, Sony’s proprietary recycled plastic, for large components like the TV back cover. This initiative is part of a broader corporate responsibility effort to foster an inclusive society and increase accessibility across its product range.
Enhancements are not just in hardware but also in software; Sony continues to partner with content providers to optimize viewing experiences through calibrated viewing modes. New additions include the Prime Video Calibrated Mode, allowing users to experience films, series, and sports with fidelity to the creators’ original vision.
