The automotive industry is witnessing a shift toward the use of more compact and smaller components in car production, posing challenges for technicians as they navigate the confined spaces under the hood. To address this, GEARWRENCH has launched an updated version of their 120XP Ratchets, designed to enhance accessibility and leverage for mechanics.
GEARWRENCH’s newly redesigned 120XP Ratchets feature a head that is 22% more compact compared to previous models. This modification not only allows better access to tight spaces but also strengthens the durability of the tools. The evolution of these ratchets aligns with the need for more refined tools as car mechanics become more complex.
Chris Coll, Product Manager at GEARWRENCH, emphasized that the 120XP Ratchets have been a reliable choice for over a decade, known for their 3° swing arc which facilitates turning fasteners in restricted areas. The latest iteration of these ratchets aims to maintain the high standards of dependability and durability that users expect from the 120XP line.
The new 120XP Ratchets also feature a longer handle, enhancing reach, leverage, and comfort for the user. The ratchets incorporate two double-stacked pawls that work with 60-tooth gears to offer 120 positions, enabling a minimal 3° swing arc. Adhering to ASME & ANSI Proof Torque strength specifications, these tools are backed by a lifetime warranty.
Available in ¼”, 3/8″, and ½” drives, the 120XP Ratchets come in various forms including extra long handle ratchets and those equipped with standard and flex heads. GEARWRENCH also offers sets that include the 120XP Locking Flex Head Ratchets and standard head ratchets with different handle lengths for each drive size.
