Pita Pit, known for being the world’s first Mediterranean fast-food concept, is enhancing its menu with new offerings that maintain its commitment to fresh, made-to-order meals. The chain is known for popular items like The Super Greek Pita and Chicken Souvlaki, and is now introducing additional dishes with a Mediterranean flair.
CEO Peter Riggs emphasized the chain’s dedication to providing fast, healthy, and convenient dining options. The updated menu aims to cater to diverse tastes with a variety of new choices, showcasing Pita Pit’s commitment to flavor and quality. Among the new menu items are several innovative “Greek Grilled Cheese” pitas and a new bowl option, each designed to offer a unique twist on traditional Mediterranean ingredients.
The new selections include:
- Say Cheese Greek Grilled Cheese: A blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses melted in a pita cooked in avocado oil, with options to add meats or other toppings.
- Chicken Club Greek Grilled Cheese: Seasoned chicken with bacon, mozzarella, and ranch, all enclosed in a pita seared in avocado oil.
- Athens Steak/Chicken Greek Grilled Cheese: A choice of seasoned steak or chicken combined with black olives, tomatoes, onions, mozzarella, spinach, and Caesar dressing in a grilled pita.
- Cowboy Steak Greek Grilled Cheese: Features seasoned steak, roasted corn, onions, and mozzarella with ranch dressing in a pita.
- Bruschetta Bowl: Consists of brown rice quinoa topped with seasoned chicken, spinach, tomatoes, onions, pesto, and balsamic vinaigrette.
These additions aim to satisfy the increasing consumer demand for healthier sandwich and bowl options that do not compromise on taste, integrating rich flavors and complementary ingredients that stay true to Pita Pit’s Mediterranean roots.
The revamped menu coincides with Pita Pit’s recent national rebranding efforts, which include modernizing restaurant designs, adding drive-thru capabilities, implementing technological upgrades, and introducing a new logo. This rebrand aims to rejuvenate the franchise’s appeal and reinforce its position as a leader in Mediterranean fast-food.
