Intense Lighting, a Leviton company, has expanded its line of specification and commercial grade lighting solutions with the introduction of the GX Adapt luminaire. The GX Adapt is an adjustable multi-head accent system that features one to four powerful 2-inch aperture heads in a compact rectangular extrusion. This luminaire is available in both pendant and surface mount configurations, making it adaptable to various environments.

Adam Zepeda, senior director of brand management at Intense Lighting, stated that the GX Adapt combines Intense Lighting’s architectural downlighting with Birchwood Lighting’s precision-cut extrusion. This integration aims to offer a unique luminaire designed with the needs of the design community in mind. The GX Adapt’s superior adjustability and stylish design make it suitable for offices, hospitality spaces, and high-end retail environments.

The GX Adapt has a slim 3.25-inch square profile and can be adjusted to either a recessed or semi-recessed configuration in the field. Each head offers 30 degrees of vertical tilt and 360 degrees of horizontal rotation without the need for tools, providing precise aiming capabilities.

Zepeda noted that Intense downlights are known for their high customizability. The creation of the GX Adapt extends these capabilities to a new type of luminaire, giving designers more control over customization.

Additional features of the GX Adapt include a wide optic range from an 18-degree spot to a 60-degree wide flood, delivering up to 800 lumens per head. It also offers an integral driver option, deep dimming options down to 0.1%, and field-changeable accessories.
