Wild Turkey has announced the release of Master’s Keep Triumph, the newest addition to its annual Master’s Keep series. This small batch, 10-year-old rye whiskey is the oldest age-stated rye ever released by Wild Turkey. Crafted by Master Distiller Eddie Russell, Triumph features an extended aging process that imparts a sweet honey and warm spiced profile, offering a fresh take on conventional rye whiskey.
Master’s Keep Triumph will be available in limited quantities in select US markets through an online presale starting in early June. It will also be available in-store at select US retailers ahead of Father’s Day.
Ten years ago, before rye whiskey’s current resurgence, Eddie Russell began laying down the whiskey that would become Master’s Keep Triumph. Inspired by his son, Associate Blender Bruce Russell’s, appreciation for rye, Eddie explored the possibilities of this bold and spicy whiskey style. Despite a post-prohibition decline in popularity, Wild Turkey continued to produce high-quality rye, maintaining offerings like Wild Turkey 101 Rye. The name Triumph reflects the modern revival of rye whiskey and Wild Turkey’s commitment to the spirit.
Eddie Russell commented that the Master’s Keep series showcases Wild Turkey’s creativity and quality, celebrating the distillery’s heritage. Triumph, inspired by Bruce’s influence, is a testament to the tenacity of the spirit and is meant to be enjoyed neat. This release follows the 2019 Master’s Keep Cornerstone, furthering the distillery’s rye craftsmanship with its oldest age statement for a Wild Turkey rye.
Master’s Keep Triumph features a 104-proof expression with notes of sweet honey and clove, transitioning to dark chocolate, dates, and spice, ending with a rich mocha-coffee and black pepper finish. While many ryes are enjoyed in cocktails, Triumph is designed to be savored on the rocks or neat.
Master’s Keep Triumph will be available for presale in early June, with limited quantities available in select US retailers and at Wild Turkey’s Visitor’s Center ahead of Father’s Day. The suggested retail price is $275.
