Jones Soda Co. has launched a new product, Jones Mini, featuring 7.5-ounce mini cans. Known for its craft sodas with unique flavors, Jones Soda is now offering its mini cans in 700 Walmart stores nationwide, with plans to expand to additional retailers. The mini cans come in four popular flavors: Root Beer, Orange & Cream, Berry Lemonade, and Cream Soda. These cans are caffeine-free and suitable for various occasions, including school lunches and poolside settings where glass bottles are not allowed.
To promote the launch, Jones Soda is conducting a sampling tour with its “Cool Bus.” The tour will kick off at the Bentonville Bike Fest in Arkansas from May 23-26 and will continue to events and retailers throughout the summer. This campaign aims to introduce consumers to the new mini cans through direct sampling.
David Knight, CEO of Jones Soda, stated that Jones Soda is the first craft soda brand to offer mini cans, a format that is gaining popularity in grocery and club channels. He highlighted that Jones Minis represent the company’s expansion into new beverage formats, signaling a new era of growth for Jones Soda.
In addition to launching Jones Minis, Jones Soda has ventured into the alcohol and food service sectors, including distribution through Dot Foods. The company has also partnered with Street League Skateboarding (SLS) to support action sports and promote its crossover cannabis brand, Mary Jones, in the HD-9 market.
Knight noted the positive reception of Jones Minis since their arrival on Walmart shelves and expressed enthusiasm for the product’s success. Jones Soda plans to introduce more flavors and expand distribution to Canada by Fall 2024.
