Amy Sheehan, Director of Talent Acquisition at Hormel Foods, expressed excitement about the largest class of summer interns in the company’s history. She emphasized that the interns will work alongside professionals, gaining insights and contributing to the Fortune 500 company’s operations. The company values the fresh perspectives that interns bring.
The 10-week program allows interns to experience hands-on business scenarios in various functional areas such as sales, marketing, analytics, operations, engineering, IT, R&D, quality control, corporate communications, insights, and innovation. Each internship is paid, and interns typically gain 40 hours of experience per week. The program will run through August 2.
The goal of the internship is to provide students with practical experiences and opportunities to work with and learn from all levels of management. Sheehan highlighted that the cohesive program offers a consistent experience and showcases the various career paths within the organization. Interns will be placed at the corporate headquarters, regional sales offices, and various production facilities.
Hormel Foods is committed to supporting these interns as they begin to shape their careers with the company.
