The Kroger Co., recognized as America’s largest sushi retailer, is marking International Sushi Day on June 18 with limited-time flavors and special deals on its fresh, in-store sushi offerings. Kroger has been selling sushi since 1991 and currently provides sushi in more than 1,800 stores nationwide.
Kroger sells over one million sushi rolls each week, catering to a variety of tastes with a selection that includes cooked and sashimi rolls, party platters, dumplings, bao buns, poke bowls, salads, and Asian rice bowls. The sushi is prepared daily by in-store chefs, ensuring restaurant-quality products.
To celebrate International Sushi Day, Kroger is introducing the CHEETOS Flamin’ Hot California Roll, available until July 31. This roll is coated with crushed CHEETOS Crunchy Flamin’ Hot snacks and topped with a spicy sauce. Additionally, the DORITOS Flamin’ Hot Limón Shrimp Tempura Roll will be available later in the fall.
From June 12-18, customers can enjoy special deals on sushi at Kroger. In stores, shoppers can save $2 on any fresh sushi item priced at $11.99 or more with a loyalty card. On DoorDash and Uber Eats, there is a buy one, get one free offer on fresh sushi rolls.
Customers can order freshly prepared sushi and other items such as dumplings and poke bowls through DoorDash and Uber Eats. These orders are prepared and packed by in-store chefs and delivered directly to customers’ homes. Additionally, from June 20 to July 24, DoorDash DashPass members can receive 50% off sushi orders of $20 or more.
