Russell’s Reserve, known for its award-winning bourbons, has introduced its 15-Year-Old 2024 Limited Release. This new offering is a successor to the popular Russell’s Reserve 13-Year-Old, extending the brand’s tradition of high-quality, aged bourbons.
Eddie Russell, Master Distiller and Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame member, selected this 15-year small-batch bourbon for its exceptional quality. The bourbon was aged for 15 years, enduring Kentucky’s harsh winters and hot summers, resulting in a complex and robust flavor profile.
Eddie Russell explained that while it was a difficult decision to release something other than the 13-Year-Old, the added complexity from the extended aging was too significant to ignore. This release marks the continuation of a passion project that has grown into a coveted item for collectors worldwide. The bourbon was chosen for bottling only when it was deemed ready, ensuring the highest quality.
The 15-Year-Old bourbon, crafted under Eddie’s expertise, showcases his ability to develop nuanced flavors through careful aging and barrel selection. It features notes of intense molasses and oak, along with the distillery’s signature earthy profile. The bourbon is non-chill filtered and bottled at 117.2 proof, the optimal point for its character.
