The Skippy brand, the Official Peanut Butter partner of USA Gymnastics, is collaborating with Olympic legends Dominique Dawes and Chellsie Memmel for Gymnastics City USA 2024 in Minneapolis. This event will feature four of the sport’s biggest competitions, and Dawes and Memmel will highlight Skippy peanut butter as a tasty and convenient protein snack for athletes.
Dawes and Memmel, both Olympic medalists and Hall of Fame athletes, will be signing autographs in the Flip Zone, the official fan festival area in downtown Minneapolis. The Skippy brand’s booth, located in Target Plaza outside Target Center, will offer an interactive experience with samples and Skippy branded prizes.
Dominique Dawes expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, noting peanut butter’s role as a quick and delicious protein source for athletes. “It’s an honor to be part of this event, where we can inspire and charge the next generation of athletes with nutritious and tasty snacks,” said Dawes.
Chellsie Memmel also shared her fondness for peanut butter, highlighting its convenience during her athletic career and its popularity with her daughter now. “As an Olympian, I loved peanut butter as an easy way to fuel my performance. Now as a mom, I have a whole new appreciation for Skippy peanut butter,” said Memmel.
The makers of Skippy will provide their products to athletes throughout the USA Gymnastics competitions to help them recharge. Sam Hovick, Skippy associate brand manager, expressed excitement about the partnership and supporting the athletes as they compete to represent their country in Paris.
