Speedo USA is celebrating the achievements of its athletes who excelled at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis. The trials highlighted the best of American swimming talent, resulting in the selection of five standout Speedo athletes: Regan Smith, Caeleb Dressel, Ryan Murphy, Kieran Smith, and Abbey Weitzeil.
Regan Smith qualified in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke, and 200m butterfly, breaking a world record in the 100m backstroke with a time of 57.43 seconds. Caeleb Dressel qualified in the 50m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and 4x100m freestyle relay. Ryan Murphy qualified in the 100m and 200m backstroke and the 4x100m medley relay. Kieran Smith qualified in the 400m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle relay. Abbey Weitzeil earned her spot in the 4×100 freestyle relay.
These athletes will compete wearing the newly released U.S. Speedo Federation Suit, designed with the latest swimwear technology to enhance performance. The Speedo Fastskin 2.0, chosen as the official suit for Speedo’s global team, exemplifies the brand’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
At the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Speedo was the swimsuit of choice, particularly among female athletes. Many female swimmers selected Speedo’s advanced swimwear technology, highlighting the brand’s reputation for superior performance and comfort.

Since the launch of Fastskin technology in 2019, 56% of all world records have been broken by swimmers wearing these suits. Since the introduction of Fastskin 2.0 in 2023, 78% of all records have been broken by athletes in this suit. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, 61% of all gold medals and 49% of all medals were won by swimmers in Speedo suits.
