McCain Foods, responsible for producing a significant portion of the world’s french fries, is set to celebrate National French Fry Day on July 12. This year, McCain Foods will mark the occasion by unveiling the World’s First French Fry House in Chicago. The two-story house will feature various fry-themed decorations, including giant French fry inflatables, extravagant holiday lights, and themed ornaments adorning trees and shrubbery.
The French Fry House will be open to visitors on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, from 5 – 10 pm at 224 N Elmwood Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the fry-themed decorations, meet a character known as Father Frymas, participate in a French fry sing-along, and sample McCain French fries with various toppings while supplies last.
As part of the National French Fry Day campaign, McCain Foods has collaborated with comedian and cookbook author Eric Wareheim. Wareheim will feature in a promotional video highlighting the significance of National French Fry Day and sharing his favorite recipe using McCain’s Quick Cook products to create poutine. This video will be available on McCain’s YouTube channel on July 12.
