Ty Warner, the owner of the largest manufacturer of soft toys in the world, has introduced Beanie Bouncers, a new product line modeled on the popular Beanie Babies. These toys combine the classic appeal of a ball with the softness of plush material, offering a new option for active play. The product was unveiled at the Atlanta Market trade show.
Beanie Bouncers are designed to bounce high while maintaining a soft, plush exterior, enhancing their play value. According to Warner, these toys encourage creative and active play, allowing children to invent games and stories. He emphasized that the plush toys are versatile and can be tossed, caught, bounced, rolled, kicked, and collected.
The initial release will feature twelve characters, including Gilbert the giraffe, Fins the shark, Buzzy the bee, Swish the axolotl, Leggy the octopus, Katy the koala, Checkers the panda, Mystic the dragon, Banana the chimp, Sammy the Siamese cat, Purry the cat, and Spots the leopard. Additional characters will be introduced later in the year, with a worldwide patent pending for the product.
Beanie Bouncers will be available in the United States and the United Kingdom starting in August, priced at $5.99.
