DKNY has announced that Kaia Gerber will continue as the face of the brand for the Fall 2024 campaign. This decision builds on the momentum of DKNY’s recent efforts to channel iconic American style, drawing inspiration from the dynamic energy of New York City. The campaign, captured by photographer Mikael Jansson and styled by Alastair McKimm, features Kaia Gerber against the backdrop of New York, integrating quotes from classic literature set in the city, such as “Just Kids” by Patti Smith and “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
The campaign aims to deepen DKNY’s storytelling by exploring the diverse cultural influences that New York City embodies. Jeff Goldfarb, EVP at G-III Apparel Group, highlighted the campaign’s alignment with DKNY’s core values and its role in increasing the brand’s global visibility. The collaboration between DKNY and Kaia Gerber reflects a commitment to authenticity and creativity, with the campaign emphasizing a blend of timeless style and modern individuality.
Trey Laird, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Team Laird, noted that the campaign’s concept connects DKNY’s New York roots with Kaia’s love of literature, presenting a fresh and authentic vision of the collection. The Fall 2024 campaign also introduces DKNY’s 35th anniversary collection, DKNY est. 1989, which reimagines classic pieces from the brand’s archives with contemporary twists. The collection includes statement coats, cropped puffers, and pleated skirts, all designed to reflect the brand’s enduring legacy and modern attitude.
The campaign, which launches today, will be featured across various platforms, including digital, print, and outdoor media, as well as social media and influencer partnerships.
