Epson, recognized as the leading global projector brand, has introduced its new premium high-brightness laser projector lineup, the Q-Series 4K 3LCD Laser Projectors. This series is designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance visual technology in modern living spaces, beyond the confines of traditional dark room settings. The Q-Series aims to provide vibrant and true-to-life images, enhancing the immersive experience in luxury homes.

The Q-Series is the first of its kind, offering 4K 3LCD laser projectors that accommodate a range of viewing environments. The lineup includes three models: the QB1000, delivering 3,300 lumens; the QL3000, offering up to 6,000 lumens; and the QL7000, providing up to 10,000 lumens. These projectors are priced between $7,999 and $29,999, making them accessible to various segments of the high-end market.

Melvin Diaz, Senior Product Manager at Epson America, emphasized the Q-Series’ potential to redefine home entertainment by delivering superior performance, efficiency, and compactness. The projectors are designed for custom integrators, architects, and interior designers, enabling them to incorporate big-screen entertainment into diverse living spaces. The QL3000 and QL7000 models utilize Epson’s advanced 4K Display Technology, HDR10, and true 3-chip 3LCD thermal-controlled and Double Micro-Lens Array technologies. These features allow the projectors to display a full 8.29 million pixels on screens up to 300 inches, optimizing brightness, color accuracy, and black contrast.

For premium home theater enthusiasts, the QB1000 model also delivers a full 8.29 million pixels on screen with the same advanced 4K Display Technology. Equipped with Epson’s UltraBlack technology, QZX Picture Processor, and VRX Cinema lens, the QB1000 ensures outstanding contrast, color accuracy, and image clarity. It also features a 3-axis motorized lens shift for precise installation without picture distortion, and supports 4K HDR gaming at up to 120 frames per second with input lag times below 20 ms.

The Q-Series projectors are designed to be easily integrated into any room, offering an alternative to traditional LCD walls that are often expensive and complex to install. The QL3000 and QL7000 models are available as “Body Only” units, compatible with Epson’s range of High Precision Lenses, allowing for customized projection solutions.

Additional features of the Q-Series include dual 40 Gbps HDMI 2.1 ports with ARC & eARC, ISF certification, and compatibility with major smart home control systems like Control4 and Crestron. The projectors also boast a virtually maintenance-free 20,000-hour laser light source and come in black or white finishes.

The Epson QB1000 will be available in September 2024, while the QL3000 and QL7000 models will be released in October 2024. These projectors will be showcased at the CEDIA Expo, taking place from September 5-7, 2024, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. All models will be available through authorized Epson Home Entertainment retailers and include a 3-year limited warranty with full unit replacement and free lifetime technical phone support.
