The American Kennel Club (AKC) will host its annual AKC Meet the Breeds event at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on Saturday, January 25th, and Sunday, January 26th, 2025. This two-day event will provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with over 100 different dog breeds and gain insights from breed experts on responsible pet ownership. The event is designed to help potential dog owners identify the best breeds for their lifestyle.
Participants can expect to meet and interact with over 1,000 dogs and puppies, each showcased in booths representing their country of origin and historical purpose. In addition to meeting the breeds, attendees will have the chance to observe demonstrations of dog sports and working dogs, highlighting the skills and abilities of various breeds.
The event will also feature a kid’s zone, where children can engage in activities such as testing their agility in an interactive fun zone. Photo opportunities and games will be available for the entire family. The event is open to the public, with general admission priced at $10 for children and $35 for adults. VIP tickets are also available, and a $5 discount is offered on general admission with the use of the promo code MEET.
