UniFirst Corporation, a leading provider of customized business uniform programs, facility service products, and first aid and safety services in North America, has announced its participation in the upcoming NASCAR race at Kansas Speedway on September 29. The company is partnering with Hendrick Motorsports, a 14-time NASCAR Cup Series champion team, as Chase Elliott drives the UniFirst No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the opening race of the Round of 12 playoffs. The race is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on USA Network.
Chase Elliott enters the Kansas race seventh in the playoff standings, positioned six points above the elimination line. In his 17 Cup Series appearances at the 1.5-mile track, he has secured one win, seven top-five finishes, and 11 top-10 finishes, with a recent third-place finish in the spring race.
The UniFirst No. 9 Chevrolet will feature the company’s distinctive green color and logo, complemented by black and white racing accents. Elliott and the team will wear fire suits designed to match the car’s appearance, incorporating the company’s branding.
David Katz, UniFirst’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expressed support for Elliott’s playoff progress, stating that fans are eager to see him compete in the UniFirst No. 9 Chevrolet. The car will make its final appearance of the season at the Charlotte ROVAL on October 13, while UniFirst will continue as an associate sponsor for Elliott and the No. 9 team throughout the remainder of the season.
Elliott commented on his enthusiasm for the Kansas track, stating it is one of his favorites, and expressed anticipation for the upcoming race.
