Build-A-Bear Workshop has announced its first-ever Bluey collection in collaboration with BBC Studios, bringing characters from the popular animated series to its lineup of plush toys. The collection, featuring Bluey and her sister Bingo, is now available both in stores and online. This marks the expansion of Build-A-Bear’s partnership with BBC Studios, which began with Doctor Who.
The Bluey collection includes make-your-own plush versions of Bluey and Bingo, with the option to add character costumes such as Granny Janet and Granny Rita, as well as accessories like a sleeper, t-shirt, and sound options featuring the show’s theme song or character phrases. The collection is expected to be popular, with a waitlist of nearly 50,000 fans.
Sharon Price John, CEO of Build-A-Bear, highlighted the importance of the partnership, stating that Bluey aligns with Build-A-Bear’s values of joy, imagination, and family fun. The Bluey series, produced by Ludo Studio and distributed globally by BBC Studios, is a top-streamed show in the U.S. through Disney platforms.
