Central Bark, a leader in whole dog care, has launched Puppy Hour, a weekly socialization event designed for puppies between 8 and 16 weeks of age. This initiative offers young dogs a safe and supervised environment to socialize during a crucial stage in their development. The program, which began in January, has already expanded to 36 Central Bark locations, welcoming over 700 puppies to date.
Puppy Hour addresses the challenges of public puppy socialization, ensuring that all participants have received age-appropriate vaccinations and are of similar ages. Under the supervision of experienced enrichment specialists, puppies engage in age-appropriate play, fostering healthy social behaviors.
The program has received positive feedback from pet parents, many of whom continue utilizing Central Bark’s services after their puppies age out of the program. Bob Crawford, CEO of Central Bark, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing innovative care for pets and their families, and COO Tim Weiderhoft highlighted the program’s success in meeting community needs.
Central Bark’s whole dog care approach focuses on a balanced blend of exercise, play, and rest, along with enrichment add-ons like interactive toys and puzzles. In addition to day care, Central Bark offers services such as boarding, grooming, training, and a boutique retail market.
Puppy Hour is free, requires pre-registration, and is open to puppies with proof of up-to-date Bordetella and DHPP vaccines.
