Lowe’s has announced an additional $10 million donation to aid hurricane relief in Western North Carolina, following the extensive damage caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This brings the company’s total relief contribution to $12 million, supporting its nonprofit partners and first responders in addressing urgent recovery needs.
Lowe’s chairman and CEO, Marvin Ellison, expressed gratitude for the efforts of the company’s team and customers who have supported the relief work. The company remains committed to helping affected communities rebuild.
Lowe’s red vest associates are volunteering alongside nonprofit partners, contributing thousands of hours to cleanup efforts. The company will also host disaster relief events in areas hit by Hurricane Milton, distributing cleaning supplies and essential products like chainsaws, water, and generators.
Lowe’s Emergency Command Center has been active since Sept. 24, coordinating the distribution of supplies and deploying more than 250 Emergency Response Team members to support affected areas. These specially trained associates are offering assistance in North Carolina and Florida, allowing impacted employees to focus on their own recovery.
Lowe’s Employee Relief Fund is providing financial assistance to associates, with the company doubling contributions through the end of the year. Customers can support relief efforts by donating through the American Red Cross at Lowe’s stores nationwide.
This coordinated effort reflects Lowe’s dedication to supporting communities in need during the long recovery process.
