Rockford Fosgate has introduced its latest T1 Slim Subwoofers, designed to deliver powerful bass in compact spaces. The new T1 series aims to provide improved durability, responsiveness, and thermal management, meeting the demand for high-quality audio in smaller installations. Available in both sealed and ported models, the T1 Slim Subwoofers cater to varied installation needs.
The T1 subwoofers are engineered to fit in smaller enclosures, supporting vehicles with limited space. Each 500-watt subwoofer features upgrades like enhanced heat management, an improved polymer surround for durability, and a pure copper voice coil for better conductivity. The new “P” model is optimized for open-air environments and ported enclosures, while the “S” model is designed for sealed enclosures in closed settings, such as truck cabs.
These subwoofers also incorporate advanced materials to enhance performance. The use of a composite former with pure copper wire and an aluminum spider spacer boosts heat dissipation, while the Nano Cell Direct Injection (NCDI) process strengthens the surround for extended durability.
Wayne Connolly, Rockford Fosgate’s Vice President of OE Business Development, noted the rising demand for compact audio solutions due to the popularity of SUVs, pickups, and electric vehicles. Rockford Fosgate’s T1 Slim Subwoofer models—T1S1-10P, T1S2-10P, T1S1-10S, and T1S2-10S—will be available in January through Rockford Fosgate dealers and on their website.
