Little Leaf Farms, the leading U.S. brand of sustainably grown packaged lettuce, has introduced Sweet & Crispy, a new blend combining Baby Crispy Green Leaf and Sweet Baby Butter Leaf varieties. Known for their crisp textures and subtle sweetness, these fan-favorite lettuces are popular in the packaged salad category and are now available in a convenient 4 oz. package with a suggested retail price of $3.99.
Grown using controlled environment agriculture (CEA), Little Leaf Farms’ lettuce is free of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. The company utilizes sunlight and rainwater in its growing process and ensures greens are hands-free from seeding to harvest, eliminating the need for washing. Sweet & Crispy blends are harvested daily and delivered to grocery stores within 24 hours, ensuring peak freshness.
The new product launch aligns with the company’s ongoing growth. Little Leaf Farms recently expanded its McAdoo, Pennsylvania campus with the addition of a third greenhouse and has started construction on a fourth, set to open in late 2025. These expansions will add 10 acres to its 40-acre footprint across Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, making it the largest CEA leafy greens campus in North America.
In addition to the Sweet & Crispy blend, Little Leaf Farms continues to innovate with products like its new Sesame Ginger Salad Kit, which combines Baby Crispy Green Leaf with Thai-seasoned wonton strips, almonds, toasted quinoa, and sesame ginger dressing. The company’s products are now available in over 7,000 grocery stores and plans are underway to expand further into the Midwest and Southeast regions.
