SUNLU has introduced the FilaDryer E2, a new development in the 3D printing sector that focuses on filament drying and annealing. This device is designed to cater to both professionals and enthusiasts, particularly for high-performance materials, enhancing the management and post-processing of filaments.
The FilaDryer E2 is notable for its ability to reach drying temperatures of up to 110°C, making it suitable for moisture-sensitive materials such as PA and PC. It can dry these materials at 90°C within a time frame of 2 to 3 hours, which improves overall efficiency. The device includes a one-touch drying function that automatically adjusts to optimal settings for various filament types. Additionally, it features dual-chamber insulation, which aids in maintaining consistent and energy-efficient drying by retaining heat and preventing external moisture intrusion.
Furthermore, the FilaDryer E2 is distinguished as the first filament dryer capable of annealing 3D-printed components. This process helps to eliminate residual stress through controlled thermal treatment, thereby improving the mechanical properties of prints. Users can expect enhanced strength, stability, and durability, especially when working with engineering-grade materials.
The FilaDryer E2 can accommodate larger spools, supporting one spool weighing up to 3kg or 2kg, or two 1kg spools, with a maximum spool size of 250mm in diameter and 153mm in height. This design allows for the handling of bulk materials without the need for frequent spool changes.
Safety features have also been incorporated into the FilaDryer E2. It utilizes a dual-layer insulation structure to keep exterior temperatures below 60°C, even when operating at maximum drying temperatures. The device is equipped with a high-temperature-resistant fan, a PTC heater, and an automatic power-off system to ensure safe operation during extended use.
