Rebel Bourbon, located in Bardstown, Kentucky, has announced the release of Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel Bourbon, a limited-edition product. This bourbon is tied to Rebel’s status as the Official Bourbon of Richard Childress Racing (RCR). Kyle Busch, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, personally selected each barrel for this release, which is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV) to commemorate the sponsorship.
The bourbon is crafted using Rebel’s traditional wheated recipe that dates back to 1849 and is aged for four years. This aging process is intended to enhance the flavor profile, offering a robust taste with a smooth finish and a hint of spice. A total of 5,000 cases, each containing six 750mL bottles, will be distributed nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $39.99 per bottle.
Philip Lux, the brand manager for Rebel Bourbon, commented on the release, stating, “We wanted to do something we’ve never done before, in the spirit of living against the grain and doing things your own way, and KB 108 is the perfect answer.” He noted that Kyle Busch worked closely with Master Distiller John Rempe during the selection process, ensuring that each barrel was hand-bottled to reflect unique character and flavor.
The front label of each bottle features the barrel number chosen by Busch, along with the bourbon’s proof and aging details. It also includes Busch’s signature, number, and the RCR logo.
Busch expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “This sponsorship really is about living life with a rebellious spirit, and I had fun picking barrels on my own terms for this special limited-edition release.” He indicated his pride in having his name associated with the bourbon and looks forward to fans experiencing this new offering from Rebel Bourbon and RCR.
