This spring, a new frozen meal line called Mings has been introduced, created by chef Ming Tsai, who is recognized for his achievements as a James Beard and Emmy Award-winning chef, television personality, and restaurateur. Mings aims to offer a modern interpretation of Asian cuisine, featuring authentic flavors that can be prepared quickly.
Chef Ming Tsai expressed that his early experiences with food inspired him to become a chef, noting, “When a simple fried rice dish I made at 10 years old put a smile on my friends’ faces, I realized that food has the power to bring people happiness.” He aims to provide convenient options for those seeking authentic Asian meals without the need for extensive cooking or cleanup.
The Mings product line includes several noodle-based dishes. These are Spicy Dan Dan Noodles, which consist of wheat noodles and ground chicken in a spicy Sichuan-style sauce; Spicy Beef Ramen, featuring seared steak and vegetables in a spicy broth; Chicken Ramen, which includes seasoned chicken and vegetables in a savory broth; and Sweet Chili Chicken & Broccoli, combining rice noodles with chicken, broccoli, and bell peppers in a sweet and spicy sauce.
According to Holly Honroth, Senior Brand Manager for Mings, the brand aims to meet the demand for global flavors that can be enjoyed at home without the need to dine out or spend excessive time in the kitchen. Mings frozen meals are designed to provide a variety of chef-crafted noodle options that appeal to consumers looking for new and exciting flavors.
