Holla Spirits, a spirits company based in Pennsylvania, has launched its first line of canned cocktails, which are now available at various bars, restaurants, and distributors across the state. The new offerings, known as “Crush” cocktails, come in two flavors: Orange Crush and Watermelon Crush.
This launch follows recent amendments to the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, which allow consumers to purchase canned Ready-to-Drink (RTD) cocktails from permitted retailers outside the traditional state store system. Holla Spirits’ Founder, Patrick Shorb, stated, “With changes in the state’s liquor law, we went right to work formulating exceptionally fun, flavor-forward canned cocktails using two of our most popular Holla Vodka expressions.” He emphasized the convenience of these products, particularly for outdoor activities during warmer months, reflecting a growing consumer preference for quality and convenience in the RTD category.
In 2024, vodka emerged as the most ordered spirit on Uber Eats, highlighting its popularity across demographic groups for RTD cocktails. Holla’s 12-ounce slim cans will not only be available in Pennsylvania but will also reach grocery chains, convenience stores, golf courses, and country clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Holla Spirits produces vodkas that are 7Xs distilled, gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegan. The flavored vodka ingredients are sourced from craft and natural flavor providers. The company is also committed to sustainability, utilizing eco-friendly packaging and plant-based materials for its custom-molded Italian corks, which are notable for being the first bar-top closures made from such materials. Holla products are currently available in over 1,100 locations across Pennsylvania, including Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores, and they are expanding into markets in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Florida.
