The Whataburger Mushroom Swiss Burger has returned to the menu after a three-year absence, responding to significant fan demand, which included a petition that gathered over 7,200 signatures. This burger features two grilled all-beef patties, Swiss cheese, au jus sauce, and grilled mushrooms, all served on a toasted bun. It is now available for a limited time, ending on June 2.
Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud stated, “You asked, we listened—our Mushroom Swiss Burger is back! Because some legends don’t belong in the past… they belong in your hands.” This return coincides with Whataburger’s 75th anniversary, reflecting the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
In addition to the burger’s return, Whataburger is also promoting a charitable initiative throughout April. Customers can choose to “round up at the register” to support the Gratitude Initiative, which provides educational programs and scholarships to children of military and law enforcement families. This effort aligns with the Month of the Military Child, recognizing their resilience and contributions. Customers can purchase the burger in-store, at the drive-thru, or through the Whataburger App for curbside pickup or delivery.
