Friskies has introduced a new limited-edition board game titled “Adventures in Friskies World,” aimed at cat owners and board game enthusiasts. This game encourages players to engage in a screen-free experience, reminiscent of traditional game nights. Developed by board game designer Ellie Dix, with input from Purina pet behaviorist Dr. Annie Valuska, the game is designed to incorporate cat-themed adventures that enhance playtime for both humans and their feline companions.
The game includes elements that entertain cats while their owners play, featuring a special cat toy and a cardboard shipping box, which are familiar items that cats often enjoy. “Adventures in Friskies World” is set to be available for purchase starting on National Board Game Day, April 11, and will be offered as long as supplies last.
Dix stated, “To play, participants must unleash their imagination and dive into a world of feline adventures.” The game is structured to balance strategy and enjoyment, making it suitable for players of varying skill levels. Dr. Valuska noted that the board game serves as a reminder of the exploratory nature of cats, emphasizing the importance of play and mental stimulation for their well-being. “Cats chase, pounce, and problem-solve to stay engaged,” she explained, highlighting the game’s potential to inspire creativity in interactions between cats and their owners.
