Habanos, S.A. recently marked the 180th anniversary of the Partagás brand with the introduction of its new vitola, Cedros, during an event at the Murray Hotel in Hong Kong. The gathering attracted over 180 attendees who partook in a dinner crafted specifically for the celebration, reflecting the brand’s long-standing traditions.
The Cedros vitola, measuring 50 ring gauge by 135 mm in length, is part of a limited edition that coincides with the Year of the Snake in the Chinese lunar calendar. This year symbolizes wisdom, while the wood element signifies strength and growth. The launch serves as a tribute to the significant role that wood has played in preserving the flavors and qualities of Habanos over time.
Each Cedros cigar is presented in an elegant box containing 18 units, all of which are entirely handmade with long filler. The tobacco used is sourced from the Vuelta Abajo plantations in Pinar del Río, Cuba, an area known for producing some of the finest tobacco in the world due to its exceptional soil, climate, and long-standing cultivation practices. This meticulous selection process ensures that the Partagás Cedros delivers a smoking experience characterized by rich flavors and balanced strength, appealing to cigar enthusiasts.
The introduction of the Cedros vitola not only celebrates the Chinese New Year but also honors the brand’s rich heritage, which has established Partagás as a symbol of quality in the cigar market for nearly two centuries. This special edition will be distributed through select Habanos, S.A. distributors.
The Partagás Cedros reflects the brand’s commitment to tradition and excellence, offering aficionados a distinctive cigar that embodies the essence of Partagás. With its unique dimensions within the brand’s lineup, the Cedros provides an enriching smoking experience, showcasing the strong characteristics typical of this esteemed brand.
