Graeter’s Ice Cream, a family-owned craft ice cream maker, has partnered with New Riff Distilling, a Kentucky distillery known for its bourbon, to introduce a new product: Graeter’s Bourbon Ball Ice Cream. This flavor is inspired by a traditional Kentucky confection and is now available for nationwide shipping through Graeter’s website. It will also be offered at New Riff’s Gift Shop starting April 12 and in Graeter’s scoop shops beginning April 14. Additionally, select grocery stores such as Meijer, Jungle Jim’s, and Dorothy Lane Market will carry this flavor this spring.
Graeter’s Bourbon Ball Ice Cream features a bourbon-infused base, complemented by whiskey-glazed pecans and dark chocolate chips. The flavor profile incorporates elements from a single barrel of New Riff’s bourbon, aiming to deliver a unique ice cream experience that combines tradition and craftsmanship. This new offering will replace Graeter’s Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan flavor, representing an evolution of a previous favorite.
Richard Graeter, the fourth-generation president and CEO of Graeter’s, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting the fusion of their handcrafted ice cream process with New Riff’s distilling expertise. Mollie Lewis, president of New Riff, also noted the synergy between the two companies, emphasizing their shared commitment to quality and craft.
Graeter’s Bourbon Ball Ice Cream is available for order online and will be featured in scoop shops starting April 14. It is expected to reach grocery store shelves by the end of April. On April 12, consumers can visit New Riff Distilling from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET for free samples or to purchase a pint of the new flavor.
