Recteq has launched a new pellet grill called the X-Fire Pro, aimed at consumers who prefer the experience of a traditional gas grill but want the benefits of wood pellet cooking. The X-Fire Pro offers a hybrid approach, combining high-temperature grilling and low-temperature smoking through its Dual Mode Cooking system and Adaptive Sear Control.
The grill is capable of reaching temperatures between 225°F and 1250°F, giving users the ability to toggle between Grill Mode and Smoke Mode. Grill Mode mimics the open-lid cooking style of a gas grill, while Smoke Mode provides a low-and-slow approach that is commonly used in barbecue preparation. The Adaptive Sear Control feature allows users to adjust the intensity of direct heat to suit different cooking needs, from searing steaks to conventional grilling.
The X-Fire Pro includes an 825-square-inch cooking surface, which the company says is large enough to accommodate 28 pork chops or 26 burgers. The grill also features a 304 stainless steel heat deflector, cast iron grates, and a 20-pound pellet hopper that can sustain up to 20 hours of cooking time.
Temperature regulation is managed by a PID controller, and connectivity is provided through dual-band Wi-Fi that integrates with the recteq app. The grill dials operate with low, medium, and high settings, similar to gas grills, but without the need for propane or the risks of flare-ups and starter malfunctions.
Recteq CEO Ralph Santana stated, “Finally, the best gas grill is now a pellet grill. This is a totally new grill concept for recteq and the pellet grill category as a whole.” He explained that the product was developed in response to feedback from gas grill users who wanted to incorporate smoking into their cooking routine without sacrificing speed or convenience.
The X-Fire Pro ships with two meat probes, a control panel designed for ease of use, and is backed by a six-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. Support is handled by recteq’s U.S.-based customer service team.
