Native Pet, a leading name in pet supplements, announced its newest retail partnership with Whole Foods Market, further cementing its role as a champion in the growing pet wellness movement. Based in St. Louis and founded eight years ago, Native Pet has built a reputation for clean-label, vet-developed supplements that support daily pet health through nutrition.
Starting this spring, Native Pet products will be available in all 522 Whole Foods Market locations nationwide. This marks a historic milestone, as Native Pet becomes the first pet supplement brand to be carried in the natural grocery chain’s 45-year history. The lineup includes six top products: The Daily all-in-one supplement, Probiotic, Bone Broth, Allergy support, Calm chews, and the recently launched Sockeye Salmon Oil. Each supplement is designed to target specific wellness needs while maintaining the brand’s commitment to transparency, quality, and U.S.-based manufacturing.
“The natural grocery loyalist is already part of Native Pet’s growing, cult-like consumer base,” said Dan Schaefer, co-founder and CEO of Native Pet. “These stores already have an impressive selection of human supplements for these shoppers and their families, and the same should be true for their pets. Native Pet wants to lead the way.”
Earlier this year, Native Pet also expanded into all 443 Sprouts Farmers Market locations, beginning with three core products and later adding three more to meet growing demand. Schaefer cited the rapid growth of the pet supplement industry, which is expected to reach $2.44 billion in 2025 according to a report by Business Research Company.
Native Pet’s formulations are developed by board-certified veterinary nutritionists and emphasize a clean, functional approach without unnecessary fillers. The brand’s Around the Bowl Nutrition philosophy is designed to complement any pet diet, from kibble to raw feeding, promoting better health for pets at every life stage.
With its arrival in Whole Foods and expanded offerings at Sprouts, Native Pet is helping drive a cultural shift. Pet parents today expect the same level of care, ingredient transparency, and nutrition for their pets as they do for themselves—and Native Pet aims to meet that demand with integrity and innovation.
