Harvey Industries has unveiled the Alpha A-15, the first bandsaw to blend artificial intelligence with professional-grade hardware. The AI-integrated 15-inch, 3-horsepower machine debuted this week, promising to eliminate common setup headaches like uneven blade tension and drift. Its smart sensor system continuously tracks blade tension, drift, speed and table angle, feeding data to a seven-inch touchscreen that lets users monitor and tweak settings with a simple swipe.
The Alpha A-15 also features a voice-activated LED worklight for hands-free illumination and automatic safety lockouts that halt blade spin whenever the doors are open or conditions become unsafe. Together, these innovations aim to streamline workflow for both pros and dedicated hobbyists by cutting calibration time and boosting cut consistency.
“Bringing AI into bandsaw design lets us solve frustrations woodworkers have tolerated for decades,” said Jack Xu, Harvey Industries’ founder and CEO. President Rayson Esquejo added that the launch marks “a true leap forward in precision woodworking.” Early users report smoother cuts, faster job setup and greater confidence tackling complex curves and angles.
Built for stability and precision, the Alpha A-15 merges longstanding bandsaw reliability with next-generation technology. It’s available now through Harvey Industries’ dealer network and online store, heralding a new era for woodshops ready to embrace smarter tools.
