Casio America has added mechanical movements to the Edifice range for the first time with the launch of the EFK100 series. The lineup comprises three stainless-steel models: the EFK100CD-1A with a forged carbon dial, the EFK100D-2A in blue, and the EFK100D-7A in white. All three watches share a 100-meter water-resistant case, a sapphire crystal, and a see-through case back that exposes the automatic movement and its branded oscillating weight.
The dials are kept minimal, featuring only a date aperture at six o’clock, while hollowed hour and minute hands with phosphorescent tips aim to improve legibility in low light. Casio finishes the three-link bracelets with a combination of hairline and mirror polishing to match the largely brushed case surfaces. Each model measures 12.3 millimeters thick, uses a screw-down crown, and secures with a double-push folding clasp. Power reserve, beat rate, and full movement specifications were not disclosed.
With the EFK100 series, Casio pairs traditional automatic watchmaking with the styling cues established across earlier quartz Edifice releases. The company has not announced pricing or retail availability dates but has indicated that the watches will enter global markets later in the year.
