ASUS announced a new configuration of its ProArt P16, a Copilot+ PC aimed at creators that now pairs the ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreen with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU performance. The display is the most advanced in an ASUS laptop to date, combining a 100% DCI-P3 gamut, 1.07-billion colors, Pantone Validated status and factory-calibrated Delta E < 1 accuracy with up to 1,600 nits HDR peak brightness, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 True Black 1000 and Dolby Vision. Motion handling gets a bump to 120Hz with VRR and a 0.2ms response time. Eye-care features include an advanced anti-reflection coating that ASUS says cuts glare by 65% and boosts ambient contrast 3.5x, adaptive brightness and color adjustments, and TÜV Rheinland-certified blue-light reduction of 70% for longer sessions without compromising visual fidelity.
Under the hood, the ProArt P16 is built around the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU power to accelerate tasks like speech-to-text, auto sequence-framing and scene-edit detection. It supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 upgradable SSD. Cooling combines an ultra-efficient Ambient Cooling design for quiet everyday operation with a vapor chamber and liquid metal thermal compound for sustained performance under load. On the graphics side, the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU targets pro video and 3D work: editors can work in real time with 4K and 8K footage, apply AI denoising and upscaling, tap hardware-accelerated 4K/8K encode and decode, and lean on generous VRAM. AV1 Ultra High Quality mode is supported for higher compression efficiency while preserving image detail, and NVIDIA Studio tools and drivers aim to keep creative apps stable and fast.
ASUS also leans into on-device AI. As the flagship ASUS Copilot+ PC, the ProArt P16 combines RTX AI acceleration with ASUS-exclusive StoryCube and MuseTree. StoryCube is a smart, AI-assisted asset manager that can auto-categorize scenes and generate clips for rapid assembly and export. MuseTree turns text-based drafts and ideas into images and keeps them organized, with ASUS noting that the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU boosts local AI generation performance. The company positions the system as a portable studio for Windows workflows that once required a high-end desktop, from HDR finishing to complex multi-track timelines.
The chassis measures 0.59 inches thin and weighs 4.31lbs, meets MIL-STD-810H durability tests, and carries a broad I/O loadout: 40Gbps USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C, HDMI 2.1 FRL, an SD Express 7.0 card reader, and WiFi 7. External display support includes up to two displays at 8K/60Hz plus one at 8K/120Hz, or two at 4K/240Hz plus one at 4K/120Hz. Creator conveniences round out the package, including the ASUS DialPad for precise in-app control and a dedicated Copilot key for instant AI assistance.
