The Toyota GR Supra has established itself as a notable sports car since its reintroduction in 2019 by Akio Toyoda, who aimed to revive the brand after a 17-year absence. For the 2026 model year, Toyota is launching the GR Supra MkV Final Edition, which signifies the culmination of the current generation of this vehicle. The GR badge signifies a thorough testing process by Toyota GAZOO Racing engineers, ensuring that the car meets high-performance standards.
Over the years, the GR Supra has received annual updates to enhance its performance, incorporating insights from motorsports into its design. The MkV Final Edition is designed to provide an improved driving experience on both tracks and public roads, featuring enhancements in braking performance, suspension, body rigidity, and aerodynamics.
The GR Supra lineup for 2026 also includes the GR Supra 3.0 and 3.0 Premium models, all powered by a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine that produces 382 horsepower. Standard features across the models include advanced suspension systems and high-performance tires, contributing to the vehicle’s capabilities.
The MkV Final Edition introduces several unique features, including refined differential control for better traction and larger Brembo brake discs for enhanced braking. The car’s suspension and chassis modifications aim to improve stability and cornering grip, while aerodynamic enhancements optimize handling.
The exterior of the MkV Final Edition is characterized by new 19-inch matte black wheels and a distinctive carbon fiber rear spoiler. Inside, the vehicle features leather-trimmed seats with sporty accents. Customers will also have the option to select a GT4 style pack, which includes exclusive color options and graphics inspired by the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 race car.
The GR Supra is equipped with modern technology, including an 8.8-inch touchscreen display and various audio system options. All models come with safety features such as a pre-collision system and lane departure warning. Toyota provides a warranty covering 36 months or 36,000 miles, along with a maintenance plan for two years or 25,000 miles.
The 2026 GR Supra is expected to arrive at dealerships in Spring 2025, marking the end of production for the fifth-generation model in Spring 2026.
