AMD revealed its latest graphics cards, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT, at the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. The cards are optimized for high-performance, high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming and will support upcoming AAA and esports titles. These new graphics cards are built on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture.
The Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT feature 16GB and 12GB of high-speed GDDR6 VRAM, respectively. According to the company, these cards offer up to 50% higher memory bandwidth compared to competing products. Additionally, AMD announced the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, a next-generation upscaling technology aimed at boosting performance in supported games.
Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager of the Graphics Business Unit at AMD, highlighted that 1440p displays are increasingly popular among gamers. The new graphics cards aim to deliver 60+ FPS for 1440p gameplay, alongside better performance-per-dollar across selected titles compared to competitors.

In addition to hardware, AMD introduced new software features through the latest release of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. It brings performance and feature enhancements and will be available on September 6, 2023. The software includes AMD HYPR-RX technology, which manages the simultaneous interoperation of various AMD technologies to achieve improved gaming performance.
