Angel’s Envy, a whiskey producer based in Louisville, has announced the release of Angel’s Envy Triple Oak, a new addition to its Signature Series. This is the first new product in the series in over a decade, following the launch of Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels in 2011 and Angel’s Envy Rye Whiskey Finished in Caribbean Rum Casks in 2013.

The Triple Oak whiskey is a blend finished in three types of oak barrels sourced from Hungary, Kentucky, and France. Specifically, it uses Hungarian oak, Chinkapin oak from Kentucky, and French oak. This release continues the brand’s tradition of finishing processes, adding an oak finish to their offerings, which already include wine and spirits finishes.

Owen Martin, Master Distiller at Angel’s Envy, stated that the team aimed to create a unique product to complete their portfolio. The selection of barrels was intended to complement each other. The French oak contributes flavors of baking spices, chocolate, and cinnamon. The Chinkapin oak adds notes of caramel, vanilla, and coffee. The Hungarian oak provides balance and depth, uniting the different finishes into a cohesive flavor profile.

Angel’s Envy Triple Oak can be consumed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails such as an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. For the product launch, the brand’s Global Ambassador of Brand Education, Angel Teta, created a cocktail called the Golden Oak.

The whiskey is bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) and will be available nationwide and online starting October 1 at a suggested retail price of $74.99 for a 750mL bottle. It will also be available at the distillery in Louisville beginning September 14. More information can be found on the company’s website and Instagram account.
