Boat Trader announced a sweeping set of product upgrades aimed at modernizing how people shop for, and sell, boats online. The updates are built for today’s longer research cycles, keeping listings visible from first search to financing and closing, and reinforcing the marketplace’s focus on transparency, trust, and purposeful connections.
A revamped My Boats account now syncs across the mobile app and desktop so shoppers can save favorites, compare options, and get real-time alerts on price changes, new listings, and updates wherever they browse. “Buyers and sellers expect a seamless, engaging experience across devices,” said Mike Grabowski, chief product officer at Boat Trader, adding that the releases make every interaction more informed, transparent, and valuable.
On the seller side, Smart Listing Builder automates high-quality descriptions and can cut creation time by up to 70%. A redesigned search experience gives buyers more filters and cleaner navigation, while dealer modules and upgraded lead forms have already driven a 30% lift in mobile conversions. In the app, sessions are up 50% and conversions are up 90%, as users subscribe to alerts, save boats, and apply custom filters to narrow results.
BoatWizard, the company’s seller toolkit, now includes AI-powered photo optimization, SEO-ready titles, and improved lead management to help teams prioritize and respond faster. New Market Insights tools surface real-time comps, trends, and local conditions so both buyers and sellers can make better decisions. Rounding out the launch is boato, the industry’s only image-based search, which lets shoppers upload a photo to find look-alike boats, creating a more interactive discovery path and expanding visibility for listings.
