Raymond and Harmon Rozycki, the CEO and CMO of Unifying Spirits, have announced the launch of Boba POPS, which is described as the only patented alcoholic popping boba available globally. This product will be distributed in several states, including California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, and Louisiana, in partnership with RNDC, a notable distributor of alcoholic beverages.
The development of Boba POPS has been a multi-step process over the past two years. Initially, the company constructed a production facility in the United States and refined the patented production method. To facilitate the market introduction of Boba POPS, the Rozyckis formed a shared services team due to the limited resources typical of a start-up. Mark Andrews and Roseann Sessa from Savvy Drinks are involved in the management team, bringing extensive experience in the beverage sector. Additionally, Brand Evolution contributes national account expertise and distributor connections, while Vertical Beverage’s Monica Gray and Sara Breslin oversee marketing efforts, including the redesign of packaging.
Boba tea, also known as bubble tea, has gained popularity in the United States, particularly among individuals aged 21 to 29. Boba POPS differentiates itself from traditional boba tea by offering flavored pearls that contain 12.5% alcohol by volume. This product is designed to complement a variety of beverages, catering to consumers seeking either low-alcohol options or enhancements for cocktails.
Mark Andrews, who has a background with Castle Brands, remarked on the innovative nature of Boba POPS, indicating its versatility and potential within the spirits market. The Rozyckis aimed to create a product that would enhance social interactions during drinking occasions, which led to the conception of Boba POPS. They continue to collaborate closely to advance this vision in the market.
