2K and Gearbox Software have announced two upcoming releases related to the Borderlands franchise. The first is the Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box, which will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 starting September 1, 2023. This digital-only bundle packages together six base games from the franchise, namely Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, and New Tales from the Borderlands, along with their respective add-on content. The collection is priced at $149.99, but will be available for a limited time at a discounted price of $59.99. For those who already own one or more games in this collection, special pricing will be available on Xbox, Steam, and PlayStation platforms.
The second release is the Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition for the Nintendo Switch, which will be released on October 6, 2023, priced at $59.99. This edition includes the base game, all six content add-ons, and over 30 cosmetic items. It supports both solo and two-player local and online co-op gameplay.
In addition to these releases, Gearbox Software is launching an all-new podcast series, Echoes from the Borderlands, focused on the Borderlands franchise and its history. The podcast will be available on major platforms including Gearbox Official’s YouTube channel, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, and Pandora starting September 1, 2023. It will feature interviews with key personnel who have been instrumental in the franchise’s creation and development, such as Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox Entertainment, and Anthony Burch, lead writer for some of the Borderlands titles. The first season will focus on the Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box.
