CaliBagels, a San Diego-based bagel company, is launching OLD BAY Bagel Chips in collaboration with the seafood seasoning brand OLD BAY. This new product combines the well-known OLD BAY seasoning with CaliBagels’ bagel chips.
The OLD BAY Bagel Chips are toasted to achieve a crunchy texture and are seasoned with OLD BAY’s blend of 18 herbs and spices, including black pepper, paprika, celery salt, and red pepper flakes. These chips are designed to pair well with dips, spreads, and cheese.
Phil Gorman, founder of CaliBagels and a Baltimore native, emphasized the synergy between their bagel chips and OLD BAY seasoning. The collaboration aims to bring the flavor of OLD BAY to snack enthusiasts nationwide. Gorman’s inspiration for this product came from his own experience of enjoying bagel chips with a friend’s blue crab dip.
OLD BAY seasoning, known for its use with shrimp, salmon, crab, and other seafood for over 75 years, adds a distinctive zesty flavor to these bagel chips. The OLD BAY Bagel Chips can be enjoyed as a standalone snack or as a complement to various dips, making them a versatile option for different occasions.
