Carrera Revell of Americas, recognized as a leader in the slot car segment and a notable brand for model kits and 3D puzzles, is preparing to introduce the Carrera HYBRID at Toy Fair New York. This product is noted as the first AI-powered racing system in the industry. The Carrera HYBRID has recently received the German Innovator Award 2024, highlighting its advancements in racing realism and immersive experiences.
The Carrera HYBRID integrates artificial intelligence with traditional slot car racing, allowing for enhanced gameplay. It supports simultaneous racing for up to 30 participants on a single track and accommodates racing sessions with as many as 16 players. The system features 1:50 scale vehicles that operate on extra-wide roadways, and control is managed through an app on smartphones or tablets. Users can drive both on and off the track, with the ability to overtake at any location. Additionally, the system offers adjustable settings for various racing parameters, including speed and tire grip.

In addition to the product launch, Carrera Revell is organizing an auction for a slot car display created in collaboration with Slot Mods, with proceeds directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The auction will be announced at Toy Fair New York, and bids can be submitted via email. Promotion for the auction will occur across Carrera Revell’s social media platforms, with bidding closing on March 14, 2025. The display will be shipped to the buyer within the contiguous U.S., with the buyer responsible for ensuring that it fits their designated space.
Tiessen remarked, “This is an opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to own a piece of Carrera history while supporting a great cause.” The initiative aims to foster connections within the slot car community while contributing to charitable efforts.
