Casio America has introduced the G-Shock DW5600HDN257, the second limited-edition watch created with streetwear platform Hidden NY. The release revisits the square DW-5600 case that debuted in 1987, applying translucent resin components accented in Hidden NY’s green-and-white colour scheme. A matte white strap carries the collaborator’s block logo, while a black steel bull-bar guard surrounds the mineral crystal—an addition seldom fitted to standard DW-5600 variants. Activating the electroluminescent back-light reveals Hidden NY’s ⓗ emblem on the dial. The case back and matching presentation tin are laser-etched with the phrase “In the Blink of an Eye,” a reference to the brand’s stated aim of linking past, present and future design cues.
Functionally, the watch retains the core DW-5600 specification: shock resistance tested to G-Shock’s internal standard, water resistance to 200 metres (660 feet), a 24-hour chronograph, a 24-hour countdown timer, a single daily alarm and selectable 12- or 24-hour time display. Casio lists weight at 53 grams (1.9 ounces) and cites a battery life of approximately two years on a CR2016 cell. The watch is manufactured in Thailand.
The DW5600HDN257 follows a 2023 joint model that sold primarily through Hidden NY’s online channel. Casio says the new edition will be distributed through its U.S. e-commerce site, selected G-Shock boutiques and Hidden NY’s store, though quantities have not been disclosed and no suggested retail price has been released. Casio states that the project aligns with its goal of positioning G-Shock within contemporary street culture while maintaining the platform’s durability credentials.
