Cheez-It has announced a renewed partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, contributing $300,000 to support educators. This donation marks a $50,000 increase from the previous year and continues the brand’s efforts to provide teachers with essential resources. The funding will support projects that help teachers engage and inspire their students.
The initiative is part of Kellanova’s broader social and environmental goals outlined in its Better Days Promise, aiming to improve lives through meaningful partnerships. By working with the CFP Foundation, the largest sports organization focused on empowering educators, Cheez-It is able to recognize and support teachers who make an impact in their communities.
During the 2023 college football season, Cheez-It’s donation of $250,000 funded 444 classroom projects for 343 teachers across 175 schools, particularly benefiting under-resourced schools in Illinois and Michigan. This year’s expanded $300,000 contribution will continue to support classroom projects via DonorsChoose, allowing teachers to enhance their students’ educational experiences.
In addition to the financial contribution, Cheez-It and the CFP Foundation have enlisted college football athletes to share stories honoring teachers and their role in shaping future generations.
