Chili’s Grill & Bar has launched a refreshed version of the classic BurgerTime arcade game, titled Chili’s Big Smasher BurgerTime. This new game allows fans to tackle fast-food villains and compete for the chance to win free burgers for life. In this video game, players take on the role of Joe ChiliHead, aiming to build as many Big Smasher Burgers as possible while advancing through six levels to win various prizes.

Through July 14, fans who log in or create a My Chili’s Rewards account can participate in the Chili’s Big Smasher BurgerTime competition at chilisburgertime.com. The game challenges players to fend off fast-food villains and assemble Big Smasher Burgers, mirroring the process at Chili’s restaurants where burgers are sold rapidly. This modernization of the original arcade game retains its classic look and gameplay while incorporating today’s technology, enhanced visuals, improved sound, and increased game speed.

Chili’s has also introduced the Big Smasher Burger as part of its 3 For Me menu, priced at $10.99. This burger includes Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, pickles, red onion, and American cheese on a hand-smashed patty. The launch of this new burger is part of Chili’s strategy to offer better value compared to fast-food rivals.

George Felix, Chili’s chief marketing officer, stated that the new game provides guests with a virtual outlet to express their frustrations with fast-food, emphasizing that the 3 For Me deal offers great value for lunch and dinner. The competition offers various prizes, including free burgers for life for the player with the highest score, along with limited-edition arcade cabinets for the top three players. Additionally, the first 250 players to gather the 3 For Me bonus in the game will receive a Chili’s gift card for a free meal.

The game, developed in partnership with Jon Marshall @ Daughters and Media.Monks, includes new foes and bonuses related to the 3 For Me menu, providing a modern twist on the arcade classic. Fans can join the competition free of charge through their My Chili’s Rewards accounts, while those without an account can still play but will not be eligible for prizes.
