Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is kicking off summer with a refreshed Ice Blended menu that celebrates both its pioneering heritage and bold new flavors. Now through August 19, 2025, guests can enjoy returning classics—like the Ultimate Cold Brew Ice Blended drink and the CaraMocha Ice Blended drink—alongside three entirely new creations inspired by sunny California days.
It all began in 1987 when a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf barista crafted the first Ice Blended drink. Thirty-eight years later, the brand continues to lead with innovation. “We didn’t just create the Ice Blended drink, we started a movement,” said Dee Hadley, head of marketing for the Americas. “This summer lineup honors the flavors that made us famous while inviting guests to discover fresh, seasonal twists.”
The three new Ice Blended beverages include:
- Pure CaraMocha Ice Blended drink: A caramel-spiked riff on the original Caramel Ice Blended, made with rich chocolate powder instead of vanilla for an extra-indulgent taste.
- Ube Coconut Affogato Ice Blended drink: A tropical blend of ube and coconut crowned with a shot of espresso and a swirl of whipped cream.
- Ultimate Cold Brew Ice Blended drink: Our fan-favorite chocolate-covered espresso beans return in this bold cold brew blend, finished with chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Any Ice Blended drink can be upgraded to “ultimate” with added chocolate-covered espresso beans.
Beyond these, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is also serving up Ube Coconut editions of its lattes and matcha drinks—all with boba options—so every ice-cold choice can carry a hint of the tropics.
To celebrate its legacy, the brand is rolling out summer-long promotions:
- National Ice Blended Day (June 11): $3 small Ice Blended drinks from 12–6 p.m.
- Throwback Thursdays (June 19–August 14): $4 regular Mocha or Vanilla Ice Blended drinks every Thursday from 12–6 p.m. (limit two per transaction; paid modifiers not included)
