Durham Distillery has expanded its award-winning Conniption Gin lineup to Washington D.C. and Maryland, completing the brand’s distribution reach across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions. Known for its pioneering approach to gin production, Durham Distillery uses vacuum cold distillation, which preserves delicate botanicals and results in complex, modern flavor profiles. The Conniption Gin portfolio includes Kinship, American Dry, Navy Strength, and Barrel-Aged varieties, each crafted with all-natural ingredients and without additives.
This expansion follows recent strategic growth into Massachusetts, Virginia, and Illinois, as Conniption Gin continues to outpace the super-premium gin market. Conniption has earned over 60 national and international awards since its 2015 debut, with several of its gins recognized as “Best in the U.S.” in 2024 at the World Gin Awards.
Co-Owner and CEO Melissa Katrincic emphasized the brand’s commitment to providing high-quality gin to new markets, with further expansion planned in 2025. Beyond its gin portfolio, Durham Distillery produces liqueurs, cucumber vodka, and canned cocktails, and will launch Conniption Cocktails and Cuisine at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in 2025.
