This new offering, known as the Natural REM Mattress, aims to provide comfort while adhering to the company’s commitment to clean living. The mattress is made to order in the United States using sustainably sourced materials, including certified organic cotton, wool, and Dunlop latex.
The design incorporates a layer of 100% wool padding, which serves as a natural flame retardant, thereby eliminating the need for harmful fire-proof additives. This approach aligns with Coyuchi’s goal of creating a healthier living environment. The made-to-order manufacturing process also helps reduce excess inventory and resource use, reflecting the brand’s dedication to minimizing its environmental impact.
The Natural REM Mattress features an advanced coil system consisting of 2,420 individually pocketed coils in a Queen size, providing support and motion isolation suitable for various sleep positions. Pricing ranges from $1,400 to $2,400, with the Queen size priced at $2,000, presenting a competitive option compared to other high-end mattresses.
This mattress is designed to fit standard bedding and frames, making it adaptable to different bedroom setups. Coyuchi emphasizes the importance of combining luxury with sustainability, as articulated by Chief Digital Officer Vicky Grahan, who highlighted the product’s focus on comfort while being environmentally responsible.
