The campaign includes a video that debuted in January, which is being distributed digitally and in select mid-Atlantic markets. The video features the cookies, characterized by their crunchy exterior and chocolate crème filling, as they interact with various panda characters in a lighthearted manner.
Meiji Hello Panda cookies are recognized for their unique shape and design, which includes a mess-free outer layer. Additionally, these cookies do not contain peanuts or high fructose corn syrup, making them a suitable snack for a broader audience. The campaign is intended to attract both existing fans and new consumers.
Geoffrey Guilfoile, the Director of Marketing at Meiji America Inc., noted that while the Hello Panda brand has always been lively, the new video format offers a different experience for viewers. The company anticipates that this initiative will encourage a wider audience to engage with the Hello Panda brand.
